The Rocket Lab launch schedule: upcoming Electron launches with launch times in your time zone, on the timelines of your cities.
Rocket Lab's Electron is a small launcher that flies frequently, often for a single customer — Earth observation and radar satellites, technology demonstrations and science missions, each with a mission name of its own. Most launches lift off from Launch Complex 1 on the Mahia Peninsula, on the east coast of New Zealand's North Island; others from Launch Complex 2 at Wallops Island, Virginia.
New Zealand is far ahead of Europe and the Americas, and its daylight saving runs opposite to theirs, so a launch on a New Zealand morning is often the previous evening elsewhere. The timeline shows each launch at its local time in every one of your cities at once.
The schedule follows the live SpaceNexus launch manifest, so when a launch slips, it moves on the timeline too; a launch whose day is set but whose time is not yet announced is shown as an all-day event. Select a launch to see its rocket and mission, with links to the live stream and the countdown. Launches of every provider are in the Rocket Launches calendar.
Open this calendar: the next Rocket Lab launch is on the timeline of each of your cities, in its local time, and the next event button jumps straight to it.
Electron launches from Rocket Lab Launch Complex 1 on the Mahia Peninsula in New Zealand, and from Launch Complex 2 at Wallops Island, Virginia. Each launch card names its site.
Add Auckland to your cities and the launch shows in New Zealand time next to your own. New Zealand moves its clocks in April and September, opposite to the northern hemisphere, and the timeline accounts for both.
Rocket Lab has announced the day but not the time yet. The launch gets its exact time on the timeline once it is announced, and the calendar follows the live manifest, so slipped launches move too.
