The US economic releases that move markets around the world, on the timelines of your cities: FOMC rate decisions and the Fed Chair’s press conference, the Consumer Price Index and the jobs report, each at the time it comes out where you are.
All of them are set in New York time. The FOMC statement comes at 2:00 pm on the second day of each of the eight scheduled meetings a year, and the press conference follows at 2:30 pm. CPI and the Employment Situation report, with nonfarm payrolls, come out at 8:30 am, an hour before the US stock market opens. Their dates are not fixed weekdays: the Bureau of Labor Statistics publishes its schedule a year ahead.
The calendar follows the Federal Reserve’s FOMC calendar and the BLS release schedules for 2026 and 2027. When the US changes its clocks in March and November, and your own country does so on a different date, the releases move in your local time for a week or two; the timeline already accounts for that.
Select a release to see what it covers, the month the data is for, the New York time and whether a decision comes with the dot plot, with a link to the official schedule. Rate decisions of the ECB, the Bank of England, the Bank of Japan and other central banks are in the [central bank calendar](/central-bank-decisions), and the US releases next to the stock market session in the [stock exchange calendar](/big-four-stock-exchanges).
At 2:00 pm New York time on the second day of the meeting, with the Fed Chair’s press conference at 2:30 pm. That is 19:00 in London for most of the year and 18:00 for a few weeks in March and around the end of October, when the US and Europe change their clocks on different dates.
At 8:30 am New York time, usually in the second week of the month, for the month before. The Bureau of Labor Statistics sets each date a year ahead; the timeline shows every release at your local time.
The Employment Situation report, with nonfarm payrolls and the unemployment rate, comes out at 8:30 am New York time, usually on the first Friday of the month. When that Friday is too early in the month or a holiday, it moves to another day.
The March, June, September and December meetings come with the Summary of Economic Projections, including the dot plot. Those decisions are marked on the timeline.
Yes. The Fed treats each meeting date as tentative until it is confirmed at the meeting before, and the BLS can move releases, as it did during the government shutdowns of 2025 and 2026. Each event links to the official schedule.
