The shortwave schedule of KBS World Radio, South Korea’s international service, on the timelines of your cities: every broadcast with its language, frequencies, target area and transmitter site, shown in your own time zone instead of UTC.
Korean and English carry the schedule. Korean goes out for Europe, the Middle East, Asia and the Americas, and English three times a day — for South East Asia and South America, then a long afternoon block for Asia, North America and Europe, then in the evening for Europe and eastern North America. Japanese, Spanish, Russian, Mandarin, Indonesian and Vietnamese follow, with German, Arabic and French in the evening.
Most programs leave from Kimjae in South Korea; broadcasts for Europe and the Americas are relayed from Woofferton in England and Okeechobee in Florida, and some Mandarin programs from Taiwan. Programs for Japan, China and the Russian Far East also run on the 1170 kHz medium wave transmitter. KBS publishes its schedule in UTC and changes frequencies twice a year, at the end of March and the end of October. This calendar follows the current season of the EiBi shortwave schedule and places each broadcast at its local time in each of your cities.
