Radio Romania International Shortwave Schedule

The shortwave schedule of Radio Romania International (RRI) on the timelines of your cities: every broadcast with its language, frequencies, target area and transmitter site, shown in your own time zone instead of UTC.

Unlike most international broadcasters, RRI still aims much of its shortwave schedule at Europe. English goes out seven times a day for Western Europe, North America, South Asia and East Asia; French, German, Italian and Spanish programs follow the same pattern. Romanian reaches the diaspora in Europe, the Middle East and North America, and a Sunday program in Hebrew is aimed at Israel. Services for the neighbourhood — Ukrainian, Serbian, Russian and Aromanian — run in the afternoon and evening, and Mandarin and Arabic complete the list.

All broadcasts leave from transmitters in Romania — Tiganesti, Saftica and Galbeni — on one or two frequencies each. RRI publishes its schedule in UTC and switches between summer and winter frequencies at the end of March and the end of October. This calendar follows the current season of the EiBi shortwave schedule and shows every broadcast at its local time in each of your cities, so a program at 20:30 UTC appears at the right hour wherever you are.
