The shortwave schedule of Radio Taiwan International (RTI) on the timelines of your cities: every broadcast with its language, frequencies, target area and transmitter site, shown in your own time zone instead of UTC.
Mandarin is aimed at mainland China and runs through much of the day, alongside Hakka, Cantonese and Amoy (Taiwanese Hokkien) for listeners in China and South East Asia. Vietnamese, Thai, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean and Russian programs cover the rest of Asia, partly on medium wave. For Europe, RTI broadcasts in German and French in the early evening, for the Americas in Spanish, and once a day in English for South Asia.
Most programs go out from transmitter sites in Taiwan such as Paochung and Tamsui. Some programs for Europe and Africa are relayed from Bulgaria and France, and those for the Americas from Okeechobee in Florida. RTI publishes its schedule in UTC and changes frequencies twice a year, at the end of March and the end of October. This calendar follows the current season of the EiBi shortwave schedule and places each broadcast at its local time in each of your cities, including the programs that air only on certain days of the week.
