The shortwave schedule of Radio Slovakia International (RSI), the international service of Slovak Radio, on the timelines of your cities: every broadcast with its language, frequencies, target area and transmitter site, shown in your own time zone instead of UTC.
RSI broadcasts short half-hour programs about Slovakia: news, culture and travel. English is the main language, with five broadcasts a day — four for the Americas and one for Europe; Spanish goes to Latin America and North America, and a daily program in Slovak keeps the diaspora in the US and Canada in touch. German, French and Russian programs are aimed at Europe.
Slovakia no longer runs its own shortwave transmitters, so RSI rents airtime on relay stations: Okeechobee in Florida for the Americas and Junglinster in Luxembourg for Europe. Each program has a single frequency and a fixed half-hour slot, which makes a timeline the easiest way to find it. The schedule is published in UTC and changes at the end of March and the end of October; this calendar follows the current season of the EiBi shortwave schedule and shows each broadcast at its local time in each of your cities.
