The shortwave schedule of the Voice of Korea, North Korea’s international radio station, on the timelines of your cities: every broadcast with its language, frequencies, target area and transmitter site, shown in your own time zone instead of UTC.
Voice of Korea broadcasts in nine languages. French and English each go out six or seven times a day to Asia, Latin America, North America, Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Mandarin covers China and South East Asia, and Spanish, Russian, German and Arabic follow. Japanese runs in long blocks for Japan. For radio listeners the station is a curiosity: one of the few ways to hear North Korea directly, with its own interval signal and programming style.
Most broadcasts leave from Kujang, often on several frequencies at once, and some programs also go out on 621 kHz medium wave. North Korea keeps the same clock all year, but the station publishes its schedule in UTC, like every international broadcaster, and changes frequencies at the end of March and the end of October. This calendar follows the current season of the EiBi shortwave schedule and places each broadcast at its local time in each of your cities.
