Voice of Vietnam Shortwave Schedule & Frequencies

The shortwave schedule of the Voice of Vietnam (VOV) on the timelines of your cities: every broadcast with its language, frequencies, target area and transmitter site, shown in your own time zone instead of UTC.

English is the biggest service, with more than a dozen half-hour broadcasts a day for South East Asia, East Asia, the Middle East and Europe. French comes next, followed by Mandarin for China and South East Asia, and Indonesian, Japanese, Lao, Khmer and Thai for the region. In the European evening (UTC) VOV runs a block of programs in Spanish, German, Russian, French and English, and Vietnamese programs reach Vietnamese communities in Europe and the Middle East.

Most broadcasts go out from Son Tay near Hanoi, and programs for neighbouring countries also use the 1071 and 1242 kHz medium wave transmitters. Vietnam does not change its clocks, but the station publishes its schedule in UTC and changes frequencies at the end of March and the end of October. This calendar follows the current season of the EiBi shortwave schedule and places each broadcast at its local time in each of your cities, so the short half-hour slots are easy to catch.
